The Commission's Information Society DG has published a call for tenders for a study on broadband Internet coverage in Europe.

The study will support the i2010 initiative and future strategic work by collecting up-to-date and detailed data to give a complete picture of the penetration and coverage of broadband in the enlarged EU. By analysing the different variables mentioned in the justification, a clear map of the coverage of broadband across the EU-25 plus Norway and Iceland will be provided.
