Space for reflection is an important issue in a noise-fixated society (āIf silence is golden, we shouldĀ invest in it during seminarsā, Opinion, 8Ā August). However, Iām not sure that I concur with Robert Zaretskyās argument: surely silence in the seminar room simply allows space for students to heckle?
