Like others grow old

I realise that the Times Higher Education Letters section is mainly for opinionated academics to vent their idiosyncratic views on world affairs, and you don’t normally answer queries. But I have a burning question about Mr Keith Ponting (30), the ā€œintrepid reporterā€ of Poppleton. Assuming that ā€œnumber in brackets after nameā€ denotes age, he has been 30 since at least 2012. What is his secret? Could it be that THE has failed to report a major scientific discovery of an age-stopping formula by the world-leading scientists, entirely funded by non-EU money of course, at Poppleton?
