Mysirni ZORBA (PES, GR) will be presenting a draft motion for a resolution on structuring the European Research Area.

The reporter proposes a number of amendments that would help to achieve the overall aim to make a tangible improvement in innovation performance.

Inter- and multidisciplinarity should be explicitly promoted.

Measures will be taken towards creating a European Higher Education Area.

The programme should help to develop a positive attitude towards research and innovation among professional groups such as teachers and journalists.

EU funding for military research should be excluded.
