The Turner Foundation is committed to preventing damage to the natural systems - water, air, and land - on which all life depends.

The Foundation makes grants in the areas of the environment and population. The main program components are:

Protection of water and reduction of toxic impacts on the environment

Improved air quality through promotion of energy efficiency and renewables and improved transportation policies and practices
