Brokenshire College

Brokenshire College is a private Christian university in Davao City, Philippines, established in 1954 by the United Church of Christ in the Philippines. It traces its origins back to the Brokenshire Memorial Hospital School of Nursing, which was founded to address a shortage of trained nurses in Mindanao. The college continues to maintain close links with Brokenshire Memorial Hospital, one of the region's longest-established mission hospitals.
The college is situated within the Brokenshire Integrated Health Ministries (BIHMI) compound in Davao City, enabling students in the health sciences to study alongside an operational teaching hospital. The shared campus includes Brokenshire Memorial Hospital, the College of Medicine, basic education facilities, student residences, and specialist laboratories. 
Davao City is the largest city in Mindanao and is at the base of Mount Apo, the highest peak in the Philippines, standing at 2,954 meters. The college also administers two satellite campuses in Toril, Davao City and a further campus in Davao City.
The college has expanded its academic offering beyond nursing education to become multidisciplinary. It now comprises a wide range of colleges including medicine, nursing, midwifery, medical technology, pharmacy, rehabilitation sciences, theology, teacher education, business, hospitality management, information technology, criminology, and liberal arts, alongside graduate studies and basic education. Courses include health sciences, theology, business, teacher training, medicine and vocational training.
The College of Medicine follows a community-oriented, problem-based curriculum, with students undertaking community immersion and clinical rotations through Brokenshire Memorial Hospital and other local healthcare facilities.

We are seeking an enthusiastic, committed and student-focused Associate Lecturer in Biotechnology to join the School on an hourly paid basis (hours to be agreed each semester), at a rate of £53.13 per teaching hour.

The successful candidate will play an important role in delivering an excellent learning experience for our students, contributing to teaching, assessment and academic support across the School's Foundation, BSc and MSc Biotechnology programmes.

Working as part of a supportive and collaborative academic team, you will help deliver high-quality, research-informed teaching that enables students to develop the knowledge, practical skills and confidence needed for success in their studies and future careers. The role also includes contributing to the administration and enhancement of our programmes and supporting the School's commitment to an inclusive, engaging and student-centred learning environment.

You should hold a PhD in Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, Biotechnology, or Synthetic Biology, or related biomolecular science discipline and have either experience of teaching at undergraduate level, or delivering professional training, or have achieved a recognised teaching qualification.

About the Role

The Library Coordinator (Information Management) provides strategic leadership for information governance, across records management, archives and research outputs across Flinders University. The role drives compliance, service innovation, reporting and the development of sustainable information management frameworks that support the University's research, teaching and governance objectives.

Key Responsibilities include:


	Leading the University's research output, records management, archives and information governance services, ensuring accurate recording and effective stewardship, preservation and lifecycle management of institutional information assets.
	Providing strategic advice and leadership on compliance, legislative obligations, information governance and risk management, while driving best-practice information management and university-wide records compliance through effective stakeholder engagement, communication and influence.
	Providing oversight of research output management processes, ensuring the integrity and validation of research outputs and supporting the provision of accurate reporting. 
	Leading and developing a high-performing professional team, building capability, managing performance and fostering a culture of service excellence and continuous improvement.
	Overseeing the development of policies, frameworks and systems that enhance the accessibility, discoverability and management of University records, archives and research information.

About You

You are a strategic and collaborative information management leader with extensive experience in records management, archives and information governance and/or research output oversight. You bring a strong understanding of compliance and risk, proven people leadership skills, and highly developed communication and stakeholder engagement capabilities, enabling you to influence outcomes and drive university-wide records and research compliance across a complex organisation.

To be successful in this role, you will also bring:


	Relevant tertiary qualifications and significant experience in records management, archives, information governance, research information management or a related discipline.
	Demonstrated success leading professional teams, including workforce planning, capability development, performance management and the delivery of high-quality services and outcomes.
	Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to provide expert advice, develop frameworks and lead organisational change in compliance-focused environments.
	Proven expertise in legislative and regulatory compliance, information governance and risk management, with an understanding of research information management and the stewardship of institutional knowledge and research outputs.

The Role

We are seeking an excellent academic to join our staff as an Assistant Professor / Lecturer in Physical Education in the Primary School. The person appointed will have a proven record of teaching, research and publication, appropriate to career stage. They will be expected to make a strong contribution to the teaching programme of the Department and undertake teaching duties on the Department’s undergraduate and postgraduate programmes as well as the supervision of Master’s and PhD students.
