About Bulacan Agricultural State College

Basic information and contact details for Bulacan Agricultural State College

Bulacan Agricultural State College is a public higher education institution in the Philippines with a history that dates back to 1952, when it was established as the Plaridel Community Agricultural High School. Over the decades, the institution underwent several transformations, becoming the Bulacan National Agricultural School in 1959 before being converted into a state college in 1998.

Today, it is recognised as the only state-run agricultural higher education institution in the province of Bulacan.

The college is located in San Ildefonso, Bulacan, approximately 50 kilometres north of Metro Manila, the capital region of the Philippines. BASC operates across three campuses within the province: the Main Campus in Barangay Pinaod, the College of Agriculture Campus in Barangay Poblacion, and the DRT Campus in Doña Remedios Trinidad. Together, these campuses provide students with access to extensive agricultural land, research facilities, laboratories, and learning environments that support both academic and practical training.

There are four institutes within the college: Institute of Arts and Sciences, Institute of Computer Studies, Institute of Education, and the Institute of Management. There is also the College of Agriculture and Veterinary Medicine, the College of Engineering and Technology, and the Culture and Arts Development Office.

The college’s International Relations Office plays a key role in strengthening its partnerships with other higher education institutions across the globe. Through memberships with organisations such as the Association of Universities of Asia and the Pacific and the Asian Association of Agricultural Colleges and Universities, BASC gives students the opportunity to be part of a global academic network and international learning experiences.
