Foundation University is a private, non-profit university in the Philippines founded in 1949 by Dr. Vicente G. Sinco, an educator and former President of the University of the Philippines. Originally established as Foundation College in the post-war period, the institution was granted university status in 1969 and has since developed into one of the leading higher education institutions in Negros Oriental.Ìý

The university is located in Dumaguete City, often referred to as the ‘University Town’ of the Philippines, in the province of Negros Oriental. Foundation University operates across several campuses within the city, including its Main Campus on Dr. Miciano Road, the North Campus, and the Northwest Campus. In addition, it maintains agricultural and research facilities in nearby areas of Negros Oriental, providing students with opportunities for practical and experiential learning.

There are nine academic college within the university: College of Agriculture, College of Nursing, College of Arts and Sciences, College of Business Administration, College of Computer Studies, College of Criminology, College of Education, College of Hospitality Management, and the College of Law and Jurisprudence. Each college is divided into different departments, which offer a range of undergraduate degree programmes.

There is also the Department of Architecture and Fine Arts, School of Industrial Engineering and Technology, Foundation Preparatory Academy, and the Graduate School for those students looking to further develop their studies.Ìý
