Sri Devaraj Urs Academy of Higher Education and Research is a deemed-to-be university in Kolar, Karnataka, India. Specialising in medical and health sciences education, its history dates back to the establishment of the Sri Devaraj Urs Educational Trust for Backward Classes in 1984 by Shri R. L. Jalappa to expand access to medical education and healthcare in Karnataka.
The university is located in rural Tamaka, 5 km from Kolar and 75 km from Bengaluru, on a green campus extending across approximately 100 acres. The campus accommodates the university administration, teaching facilities, student hostels, and the R. L. Jalappa Hospital and Research Centre, which serves as the main teaching hospital for medical and allied health sciences students. The hospital has a well-equipped Trauma Centre, ICU and CT and MRI scanning facilities, serving the rural and urban populations Kolar and neighbouring states, such as Tamil Nadu and Andhra Pradesh.
Academically, it is divided into several faculties and schools including the Faculty of Medicine, Faculty of Allied Health Sciences, Faculty of Nursing, Faculty of Pharmacy, Faculty of Physiotherapy, and the School of Law, offering a range of undergraduate, postgraduate, super-speciality, doctoral, and fellowship programmes.��
Alongside MBBS and MD/MS degrees, the university offers programmes in nursing, physiotherapy, pharmacy, and a range of allied health professions. Postgraduate education has expanded across clinical, pre-clinical, and para-clinical specialities, while doctoral research is available in disciplines including anatomy, physiology, biochemistry, microbiology, pathology, ophthalmology, and ENT.

We are seeking a Senior Demonstrator to support undergraduate teaching activities within the Biology Department. The role is highly student-facing and involves coordinating practical teaching delivery, managing demonstrators, managing assessment administration through Moodle, and supporting academic staff, demonstrators and students across undergraduate programmes. The role will also involve delivery of Outreach activities such as our Biology Leaving Certificate Revision Programme, FETAC skills training days and Science week activities.

Salary

About You

The Senior Officer, Events and Experience plays a key role in delivering engaging student, industry and College-wide events that create meaningful connections and memorable stakeholder experiences across STEM College. Some events include Orientation and Open Day for STEM College, activations at Grand Prix, capstone events at the Melbourne Convention Centre and Student Prize ceremonies. Working closely with academic teams, industry partners and internal stakeholders, you'll coordinate the planning and delivery of events, including logistics, communications and marketing collateral, database management and reporting. You'll also provide practical advice to stakeholders and contribute to continuously improving event processes and experiences.

This hands-on role is ideal for an organised and collaborative events professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys building strong relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders.

It's important to note that the position involves some physical activity, including standing for long periods of time during events and requires occasional work outside standard business hours.

To be successful in this position, you will have as a minimum:


	Proven event coordination experience and planning skills to ensure milestones are achieved and objectives are met.
	Demonstrated relationship-building and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collegiately with academic and professional staff, students, and external stakeholders of different backgrounds and levels of seniority.
	Demonstrated ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a demanding high-volume environment with excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality assurance.
	Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think creatively and contribute practical improvements in a dynamic event delivery environment.
	Commitment to quality service delivery and sensitivity regarding confidential communications.
	Demonstrated high level of proficiency in computer software packages including MS365, Adobe Creative Cloud and electronic direct mailing services with accuracy and attention to detail and the ability to learn new technical skills.

About the Role

The Library Coordinator (Information Management) provides strategic leadership for information governance, across records management, archives and research outputs across Flinders University. The role drives compliance, service innovation, reporting and the development of sustainable information management frameworks that support the University's research, teaching and governance objectives.
