Tashkent State Medical University is a public medical university in Tashkent, Uzbekistan, established in 2025 through the merger of Tashkent Medical Academy, Tashkent Pediatric Medical Institute, and Tashkent State Dental Institute. Although newly established, the university builds upon a medical education tradition dating back to 1919, when the Medical Faculty of Turkestan State University was first founded.
The university is located in Tashkent, Uzbekistan's capital and largest city.
Academically, it offers a range of undergraduate, postgraduate, residency, doctoral, and continuing professional education in the fields of medicine, dentistry, nursing, public health, preventive medicine, medical pedagogy, and related health sciences.
Teaching is supported by specialist facilities including the Medical Scientific and Innovation Research Institute, Information Resource Centre, Information Technology Centre, and the Museum of the History of Medicine.
The university also supports international collaboration through English-medium medical programmes for international students, a dedicated Department of International Relations, and academic partnerships that facilitate research collaboration and student exchanges.
Students can further participate in extracurricular activities such as medical conferences, health camps, sports tournaments, and cultural festivals throughout the academic year.
